So this weekend I was at a wedding which was absolutely lovely and I got to catch up with some people I don't see all that often (also tikiaceae <3) and it was generally fabulous.

So today the Tour de France went up Alpe d'Huez... it's one of the somewhat legendary climbs of the Tour and for very good reason- mainly the 21 switchbacks:

So the cycling got pretty exciting yesterday when I had no hope of watching the stage at all and today they're finishing on Alpe d'Huez which is ALWAYS worth watching except of course I'm at work ( Read more... )

Totally a foolish decision to get home after an evening at the Globe and watch the Tour de France stage... I mean I'm exhausted and slightly achey (though less than after the Old Vic please note) BUT how could I not watch today's stage?
